Apparently, when you are shopping in a Walmart and you hear a storm blowing through you are oblivious to anything. 

True story: As I was shopping at Wally World, I could hear that a storm had started outside - so, I took my time and waited for it to stop. Once it passed, I checked out, got in the car and went home. Chores and texts rounded out the evening before going to bed. I woke up this morning to find out (via Facebook message) a tornado touched down in the area - coming dangerously close to a friends home (create damage in their neighborhood). I’m happy to know they are okay…but, I am worried I am losing touch with reality. Or, maybe I wasn’t expecting a tornado to be touching down in western NC in January!
